It’s Corvette season and not only does that mean getting out there and enjoying your Corvette as shows and events, but for many it means the start of the buying season and looking for something new and fresh to drive to those shows and events.

One of the generations that offers both classic car looks and affordable prices available for any type of Corvette buyer from the big block Collector to a novice seeking his first “starter Corvette” is the C3 Corvette that ran from 1968 to 1982. As the market is constantly changing, I’m always interested to hear what others are seeing, and this could bode well for those of you shopping for a C3.

One thing for certain is that the C3 Corvette market is as diverse as the buyers, with different model years appealing to different collectors and enthusiasts. According to the video, we are seeing some cooling of the early years (1968-1972) yet they still remain highly desirable. The middle years of 1973-1977 still offer unique appeal while the cost to entry still remains affordable. And finally, the late 1970s and early 80s Corvettes have traditionally been the cheapest of the generation, but they could be poised for growth from a new generation of enthusiasts.

For those newer buyers of Corvettes, it is important to know what the cars are actually selling for and understanding the nuances for each of those model years and what makes them unique. We love the C3 Corvettes and believe the generation offers some of the most attractive models available.
