Qualcomm engineers posted a set of 15 patches today for the Linux kernel to enable the Qualcomm Kuno SoC support and their reference development platform.
I haven't been able to find much official information on Qualcomm Kuno with searches for Kuno leading back to these Qualcomm Linux patches themselves. But before getting too excited, Qualcomm Kuno is a 32-bit Cortex-A7 platform that is hardly exciting in performance terms for 2026 or even over the past decade.
The patch series is summed up as:
"This series adds initial support for the Qualcomm Kuno SoC and the Kuno IDP reference board.Kuno is a 32-bit ARM (Cortex-A7) Qualcomm platform. This series brings up the essential SoC infrastructure required to boot to a serial console:
- Global Clock Controller (GCC) and RPMh clock controller
- RPMh power domains
- Interconnect (NoC) provider
- TLMM pin controller
- PDC interrupt controller and SCM firmware interface
- Devicetree for the SoC and the Kuno IDP board"
The patches get the basic Kuno SoC enablement in order, which isn't too much considering the maturity of the Cortex-A7 at this stage. Plus the Device Tree for the Qualcomm Integrated Development Platform (IDP) reference board for Kuno.
Those interested can find the enablement work via this LKML patch series.
