June 30, 2026, was the last day of the field measurement of the AdriaArray passive seismic experiment. The AdriaArray Seismic Network started in June 2022, being operational for four years. In total, 436 temporary stations from 23 mobile pools have been deployed in 19 countries providing a coverage of the Adriatic Plate and its margins from Poland and Ukraine in the north to the Gulf of Corinth in the south from France in the West to Bulgaria in the east. 64 institutions from 30 countries participated in the AdriaArray Seismic Network. Together with permanent stations, the Network comprised almost 1600 broadband stations. The community of 450+ researchers, students, technicians, network and station operators will now focus on the data processing, various method applications and interpretations of the results. ORFEUS (Observatories & Research Facilities for European Seismology) and EPOS (European Plate Observing System) supported the experiment, coordinated by Thomas Meier from the Kiel University, Germany, with a contribution from Petr Kolínský from the Institute of Geophysics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague. The MOBNET stations that the LITHOS team of Institute of Geophysics installed in Romania and Bulgaria in June 2022 were dismantled and brought back in mid-June 2026.
