Meta has announced a major expansion of AI-powered features across Facebook, introducing new capabilities aimed at improving content discovery, search experiences, photo editing, and content creation. The latest update integrates Meta AI more deeply into Facebook Feed, Search, Stories, and profile customization tools, allowing users to find information faster and create shareable content with minimal effort.

The new features are designed to make Facebook more intelligent and interactive by combining AI-generated assistance with real user-generated content from public posts, Groups, Reels, and other community-driven experiences.

One of the biggest additions is the AI Mode, powered by Meta AI. Rather than displaying only traditional search results, AI Mode delivers conversational answers directly within Facebook Feed and Search.

Meta says the feature uses publicly available content from Facebook Groups, Reels, and other public posts to provide answers based on real user experiences and discussions. This allows users to discover recommendations, opinions, and insights from the Facebook community without manually browsing multiple posts.

The company has also integrated Meta AI powered by Muse Spark into content discovery workflows, helping users access information and recommendations more naturally while browsing.

Meta is also introducing several AI-powered content creation tools designed to simplify photo and video editing.

New AI Creation Features Include:

• AI-generated collage suggestions based on camera roll content
• Cutout-style collage templates for personalized memory collections
• Automatic video transition effects for smoother montages
• One-tap AI tools for generating share-ready videos and collages
• Smart content recommendations based on existing media

The company says these tools are optional and can be enabled or disabled at any time.

Facebook users will also gain access to new AI-assisted profile editing features.

• “Restyle Profile Picture with AI” tools
• Quick-access AI editing options directly within Stories
• AI-powered hairstyle, clothing, and accessory modifications

These features are intended to help users personalize their profiles and express interests more creatively without requiring third-party editing applications.

Meta emphasizes that the new AI experiences are built around Facebook’s existing ecosystem rather than replacing it. Public posts, Groups, Reels, and creator content remain central to the experience, with AI serving as a discovery and productivity layer that helps users find information and create content more efficiently.

According to Meta, the goal is to combine AI-powered assistance with authentic community-driven content, allowing users to access real opinions and experiences while reducing the effort required to search, edit, and share content.

Meta says the new AI-powered Facebook features are rolling out gradually across supported regions. Some capabilities, including AI Mode and advanced content creation tools, will become available in phases depending on user eligibility and geographic location.
