The Gilded Gondola was not only a ridiculous sounding name, but everything about the place was an affront to his sensibilities on all conceivable levels. The gilding was liberal, and gondola imagery covered most of the surfaces facing the street, including an exact size replica of a Trevisan gondola in glowing golden runes and lights. It sat in the middle of one of the more exclusive streets in High Town’s shopping district, almost restrained in its pomp and display compared to its near neighbors.“Is there anything I can assist you with, Ser?” a tall, lithe woman with long, straight golden hair appeared in the doorway almost soundlessly.
