Grange goodies for Police Department
Highland Lake Grange recently provided Westbrook Police Department with 50 survival kits filled with goodies. Grange President Dave Gowen delivered them to Capt. Steve Goldberg.
“These kits were filled with some nice treats for officers. The Highland Lake Grange has been incredibly supportive of the Police Department over the past several years, and this is just another example of it. Thank you to all the members of the Highland Lake Grange,” Goldberg said in a Grange press release.
Free trees for kids
Walker Memorial Library and Neighborhood Forest are sponsoring a program to provide a free tree to Westbrook youths ages 18 and younger. Signups are open through March 15 and trees should arrive the week of Earth Day (April 22).
Parents and guardians can sign up their children at neighborhoodforest.org/parent-faqs. “You will be asked if you want to donate to Neighborhood Forest, but there is no obligation to do so,” an announcement online said.
