Spring brush drop-off

Gorham Public Works, 80 Huston Road, will accept brush only from residents between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on two Saturdays, April 26 and May 10.

Commercial drop-offs and stumps will not be accepted. Leaves and grass clippings will be accepted in a designated area throughout the season.

Residents are reminded to not leave their bags behind.

Open space, trails survey reminder

The town has launched an online survey to receive public input until April about its Open Space and Trails Master Plan.

Maps and surveys will be available at the Planning Department Office in the Municipal Center, 75 South St.; Little Falls Activity Center, 40 Acorn St.; Baxter Memorial Library, 71 South St.; and North Gorham Public Library, 2 Standish Neck Road.

50 years ago

The American Journal reported on March 26, 1975, that the Pilgrim Fellowship of the First Parish Congregational Church was to present an Easter Sunday sunrise service on Fort Hill. The Methodist Youth Fellowship of the School Street Methodist Church was to host an Easter breakfast in their dining room. Easter that year was observed on March 30.
