Though Holloway did not play in the NCAA Tournament, head coach Nate Oats expressed support for his player throughout the process, which opened up a potential pathway for him to return to the team next season if he was able to get the legal aspect of things cleared up.

As it turns out, that is the way things are playing out, and Holloway entered a second-chance program last week which would dismiss his charges if he completes it. Two additional charges against him have already been dropped.

Holloway had to write an apology letter as part of the agreement. The letter was shared by Nick Kelly of ALdotcom.

Kelly added a Wednesday morning update that as per the requirements of the program, Holloway will have to pay a $1,300 fee, complete 50 hours of community service, pass drug and alcohol tests while in the program and attend a series of educational classes.

Given what Oats has said about holding a scholarship open for Holloway in the hopes he is able to resolve his legal troubles, it seems likely that the star guard will be back on the team next season if everything goes according to plan.
