8th CPC to visit Kolkata in July 2026

The 8th Pay Commission will hold meetings in Kolkata, West Bengal, in July, to interact with stakeholders, including employee and pensioner bodies of the central government. Also, the 8th Pay Commission held a round of talks with employee and pensioner groups along with other stakeholders in Bhubaneswar, Odisha,on July 6, 2026.

The 8th Central Pay Commission has announced that it would visit Kolkata, West Bengal, on July 9 and 10, 2026, (Thursday and Friday) to interact with stakeholders, including central government organisations, institutions, unions and associations.

For taking an appointment with the 8th CPC for a Kolkata meeting, the Commission had also asked applicants to submit a ‘unique memo ID’ generated after filing their memorandum on the official website of the 8th Central Pay Commission. However, the last date to submit the memorandum was June 15, 2026.

In November 2025, the 8th Pay Commission was given an 18-month deadline to submit its report of recommendations.

The 8th Pay Commission was constituted by the Government of India to review the salary structure, allowances and pension benefits of central government employees and pensioners. The recommendations of the Commission are expected to impact lakhs of employees and retirees across the country.
