The first-ever run of the Picture Pursuit event has landed in Disney Dreamlight Valley, ushering in all kinds of new challenges to tackle. This event features quite an array of quests to navigate, all of which lead to unlocking exclusive rewards.

To complete the Picture Pursuit event in DDV, you need to tackle a minimum of five event quests, check off the singular event duty, and claim your prizes. It’s an overall much shorter and simpler event than most, although the missions featured in it can be a bit tough to work through, as each one is a scavenger hunt.

How to start Picture Pursuit event in Disney Dreamlight Valley

To begin the Picture Pursuit event, you need to unlock a total of seven different villagers. Some of them can be recruited very early on, while others are more of late-game characters who can be complex to get. Here are all the villagers you need to get this event moving.

• Merlin – Is automatically unlocked right at the start of the game.
• Mickey – Is automatically unlocked right at the start of the game.
• Moana – Can be recruited from the Moana Realm during the quest How Far You’ll Go.
• Buzz Lightyear – Can be recruited from the Toy Story Realm during the quest A Secret Mission in Uncharted Space.
• Alice – Can be recruited from the Alice in Wonderland Realm during the quest Leaving Wonderland.
• Peter Pan – Can be recruited from Skull Rock in the Dazzle Beach region during the quest The Music’s on the Walls.
• Cinderella – Can be recruited by picking up the lost shoe in your valley and completing The Pumpkin and the Princess quest.

There are seven event quests included in the Picture Pursuit event. A new one will become available every day for the first seven days of the event. You only need to check off five of these missions to complete the main event duty.

There is only one event duty featured in this event. This duty tasks you with completing Picture Pursuit quests. To get it done, you need to finish at least five quests from the previous section. As soon as you do, you get to claim the Pure Cinema Photo Frame item as a reward.

Picture Pursuit event rewards in Disney Dreamlight Valley

All of the rewards you can unlock in the Picture Pursuit event are photo mode-related items. This mostly includes Motifs, which are the same as the ones you’re hunting for throughout the event quests. The grand prize is a new photo frame. In total, there are eight prizes you can earn.

When does the Picture Pursuit event end in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

The inaugural run of the Picture Pursuit event in DDV goes from July 15 to July 28. Like all events, it’s expected to return in 2027, likely with some fresh additions, so if you don’t get everything done the first time around, you should be able to dive back in later.
