Ninety players will soon be heading to White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., for the start of Giants training camp — reporting day is July 28 — which is sure to spark a flurry of “Do you think he makes it?” questions among everyone who follows or covers the team.

Every so often, a name will come up, and someone involved in the discourse will be taken aback and blurt out, “He’s still on the team?’’

There are always a few players like that. Not gone, but nearly forgotten.

Here are a few of them to consider as the Giants continue to be in vacation mode until the end of the month. These players face challenges this summer as they hope to make it through the grind of camp and remain on the roster when the 2026 regular season gets underway.
