GARLIC AND CHERRIES… are both found in the produce section of your grocery store, though they usually aren’t true side-by-side neighbors; rather, you’ll find the piquant bulbs over near the onions and the cherries where the berries or stone fruits succulently sit. But these two produce powerhouses will have a sort of neighborly moment in June and early July when Gilroy Gardens, the charming Gilroy theme park known for its spinning garlic bulb ride and garlicky foods, spotlights the sweet, stem-rocking superstar, the one that frequently can be found adorning pies and doughnuts. The month-long merriment has a merry name to match its mood — it’s the Cherry Jubilee — and it begins June 5 at the destination, which is home to an assortment of family-cute attractions and the celebrated Circus Trees.
SAVORY EATS, along with dessert-y fare, will reign during “the festival of food and family fun,” with Cherry-Seasoned Fries, Cherry Aioli Loaded Corn, and Kickin’ Cherry BBQ Wings on the menu. The fries are a new addition in 2026, but there are other debuting delights, including Grilled Brie with Cherry Sauce and Spicy Cherry Teriyaki Skewers; there are over 50 cherry-inspired dishes and drinks in all. If you’re looking to try a few different goodies, consider going with the Very Cherry Tasting Card, a $60 card offering six tastings. Beyond the tangy bites, there are entertaining diversions, with live shows (the “Maraschino Matinee” is one tempting choice), engaging STEM activities, and other upbeat offerings.
