And two stars of The Pitt did just that. The reward? They both landed Emmy nominations.
Brittany Allen earned an Emmy nomination for her role as Roxie Hamler, a terminally ill cancer patient in Season 2. After HBO chose not to submit her performance, she took matters into her own hands and submitted herself for Emmy consideration.
In addition, Jeff Kober, who played Duke Ekins, Dr. Robbie's motorcycle mechanic in desperate need of treatment for his heart, did the same, and he also scored an Emmy nod by self-submitting.
