Sunny Hostin had some harsh words for Karoline Leavitt after the White House press secretary suggested that some 'Generation-Z' Americans have become lazy over the years.
Leavitt, 28, made the remarks on July 2's Jesse Watters Primetime. She decried the demographic cohort and those younger for being raised with 'silver spoons in their mouths.'
'Just getting everything handed to them,' she added.
Hostin, 57, reacted on Wednesday's View, labeling it 'rich' for Leavitt to make such comments.
'At 28 years old, married to a 65-year-old.'
Leavitt's husband, 61-year-old real estate developer Nicholas Riccio, is also a multimillionaire, she pointed out.
'So I’m not sure where she comes off saying that Gen-Zers are lazy.'
She added: 'I’m raising Gen-Zers. They work constantly and I know, I can see it. They make a lot less money. They live paycheck-to-paycheck.'
Sunny Hostin, 57, criticized Karoline Leavitt for suggesting members of Gen Z were becoming complacent on Wednesday's edition of The View
She pointed out how the 28-year-old press secretary's husband, 61-year-old real estate developer Nicholas Riccio, is a multimillionaire. Leavitt gave birth to the couple's second child this past May
'Two thirds of Gen-Zs are now in the workforce, 42 percent of them say they are living paycheck to paycheck,' she continued, reading from her notes.
Moderator Whoopi Goldberg kicked things off by pointing out how Leavitt was 'coming under fire from both parties' for the statement, which was part of a segment about the purported 'rise of Communism' within the Democratic Party.
Leavitt was asked why so many young people are buying promises of 'free stuff' being sold by progressives.
'That's not the values this country was built on,' Leavitt said. 'It was built on meritocracy, hard work, pulling up your sleeves, pulling yourself up from your bootstraps and achieving the American dream.'
Goldberg let out an exasperated sigh once the clip played.
Joy Behar pointed out what she saw as irony in Leavitt's statements, calling them 'gross.'
'She has all these things. She got an education. She married a rich guy. So, talk about a DEI hire,' Behar said.
Leavitt has repeatedly made statements about 'terminating DEI hiring practices' in federal agencies.

Republican panelist Alyssa Farah Griffin was the only one to push back against the implication that Leavitt is a gold digger.
Griffin highlighted how Leavitt rose to the prestigious position of White House Press Secretary entirely through her own hard work.
'Just to be fair to Karoline, she’s been personally very successful. She’s had a big career in politics and media. She’s made over $1 million herself,' she pointed out.
Behar, 83, shot back: 'She's 28 years old!'
Griffin, 37, admitted Leavitt's living situation could have created a sort of 'blind spot' to the average citizen's struggles.
'It’s never been harder for a generation to get ahead in the last 50 years,' she said.
'In the last 50 years, in 1980, the dollar went three times further than it did today. The average first-time home buyer is now in their 40s.'
The Daily Mail approached Leavitt and ABC News for comment.
