Daily Mail Sport's blog for the undercard, round-by-round updates and score as Derek Chisora vs Deontay Wilder go glove to glove at London's O2 Arena.
Thanks for following along this evening! We were treated to an absolute barnburner by two of the top heavyweight cult heroes of their generation. If that was the last time we see Chisora, it was a fitting way for Del Boy to go out. Enjoy the rest of your Easter weekend, everyone!
Wilder is full of bluff and bluster and his post-fight remarks that he allowed Chisora to last in there to look after him must surely be taken with a dollop of salt.
He said: 'I was telling him in the ring as I saw his eyes swelling and his temples start to buckle, I said "you've got to live for your kids, I don't want to hurt you too much longer".
'So I started having fun in there because I saw my brother starting to get hurt and that's what boxing is all about, too many lives have been lost in this ring and when it's over nobody gives a damn about us. Us fighters have to look out for each other and I looked after Derek tonight, I didn't want to go too hard on him.'
Charlotte Daly at the O2 Arena: Wilder’s right hand is swelling badly. His team are asking for ice in the dressing room but… it’s all celebrations!
In a bruising, thoroughly riotous encounter, the eighth round was the highlight and whoever manages to top it this year will be doing very well.
Wilder extended his career tonight with the kind of guts and grit - and chin - that have perhaps been missing in recent years. The American says he wants another world title run and while that may be a long shot, there are definitely plenty of lucrative opportunities out there for him now. Chisora will always be a draw but many of his fans would like to see him get out the game for his own good now.
Boxing icons around the O2 stand and applaud Derek Chisora as he closes out his career. Johnny Nelson, Anthony Joshua, Tony Bellew, Anthony Yarde - all applauding the Brit despite the result.
If I didn't come out the ropes I would have won that fight. The boss lady is right here, she tells me last fight. My friend Glen made me a very nice present, he's one of my very good friends, he made me a present from Five Guys, a belt from the burger place.
I came out the ring, listen it is what it is, I'll go home and see what's going on. No, no I'll go and do a school run, thank you very much, I really appreciate that, I know why I lost the fight.
I came here when I was 16, got into trouble and started boxing, I didn't know I'd be addicted to it.
I want to thank everyone who came out tonight, London you witnessed what power is all about, I thank Derek, we've got to go fishing in Alabama.
I will most definitely have another run at a world title, Derek got good shots off and I took them like a king, it took time to heal but I'm back and better every time, what a fun night tonight.
I had a durable opponent, he brought everything and I said to him I don't want to hurt him in there. I didn't want to go too hard and I looked after him tonight for his kids. I love my children, I'm coming home, I can't wait to see you guys.
115-111 Wilder, 115-112 Chisora, 115-113 Wilder. That was how the judges scored an absolutely bonkers 12 rounds of heavyweight slugging. There wasn't a huge amount of boxing in there but entertainment wise and for sheer heart that scores pretty highly as a contest.
JEFF POWELL: A brawling climax to an astonishing fight. Chisora has the round but it's probably not quite enough 10-9
