Striptease artist Dita Von Teese is not very happy with Kim Kardashian it seems.

The 53-year-old dancer took a swing at the 45-year-old reality TV star for wearing Marilyn Monroe's famous 1962 Happy Birthday, Mr President gown to the Met Gala in 2022.

This week Von Teese agreed with a social media follower that the ex-wife of Kanye West 'ruined' the sexy, sparkly, champagne-colored dress.

The subject came up after the artist visited the Marilyn Monroe exhibit at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles which celebrates the late star's 100th birthday.

It is not clear, however, why Von Teese thinks Kardashian harmed the gown as both the star and the gown's owner, Ripley's Believe It or Not!, maintained that the dress suffered no new damage while Kardashian briefly wore it.

The reality TV star stunned at the fashion extravaganza in New York, channeling the iconic gown Monroe famously wore in 1962 when she sang Happy Birthday to President John F. Kennedy. 

The gown itself posed its own nightmare.

The star previously admitted it was a struggle just to get into the dress, forcing her to change at the gala to avoid damaging it during travel.

'I can't sit in a car, I can't risk it. It's so fragile, you guys. No one can touch me. So if anyone touches me and gets their oils on the dress … it's too risky to get in the car and leave from the hotel and do it,' she said on a previous episode of her reality TV show.  

'So, all of this - the losing the weight, dyeing the hair for 30 hours, leaving the hotel in a robe, getting there, changing on the red carpet, just walking to the top of the red carpet, then changing again into a replica of the dress, because we can't risk sitting in it and eating dinner, is all for maybe 10 minutes of my life, just on the red carpet. Like, that's it.'

Kardashian went all-in on the details as she admitted the weight-loss pressure to fit the dress. 

'When I thought to go in Marilyn Monroe's dress - and I know how precious and fragile the dress is, I knew I had to lose at least 10 pounds for it to even go up on me.'

Monroe’s glittering gown, designed by Jean Louis, has been on display at Ripley's Believe It Or Not! Museum in Orlando since they purchased it at Julien's Auction for $4.81 million. 

Monroe originally paid $1,440 for the custom piece, which remains one of the most expensive dresses ever sold at auction.

Legend has it Monroe had to be sewn into the gown prior to her iconic Happy Birthday performance. Kardashian also faced her own wardrobe woes. 

She never fit into the $5 million historical piece, carefully covering her backside with a white shawl as she ascended the Met Gala staircase.

The beauty finally switched into a replica that fit her 5ft2in frame perfectly, letting her enjoy the night with family and boyfriend Pete Davidson at the annual Costume Institute gala, though the nightmare behind the glamour is now part of Met Gala lore.
