A troubled Coronation Street character is set to make a return - despite having been arrested following sickening domestic violence scenes.

Lewis William Magee is set to reprise his role as Miles Silverton in the long-running ITV soap.

Miles is the son of killer Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) and the scaffolder's former wife Danielle (Natalie Anderson).

Last seen in September 2025, Miles was arrested after attacking Billy Mayhew - months before his father left the vicar to die in the one-off Corriedale event.

The teenager was subsequently arrested, although is now set to reappear in Theo's life.

It comes as former Emmerdale star Natalie, 41, is also returning to reprise her role as Danielle.

Meanwhile, Theo actor James Cartwright has been confirmed to be leaving the cobbles.

In Monday's episode, Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) was attacked and left bloodied by husband Theo in harrowing scenes.

The funeral director has been suffering in silence for months - with Todd's friends and family now starting to notice something is wrong.

Unfortunately, their curiosity about the situation has pushed villainous Theo to even further extremes.

Last month saw Theo manipulate Todd into marrying him, although he wasn't done there.

Theo subsequently plotted to whisk his new husband to Belfast, away from friends and support.

Todd told Theo that he wasn't ready to move, prompting the villain to take his phone and hold him prisoner.

After having locked Todd up overnight, Theo was stunned when Sarah, Summer and George came to see them off.

In further deception, via using Todd's phone, he claimed they had already left and that Todd was paying for petrol.

In reality, Todd had been trying to convince Theo that he would go, in a bid to escape.

After talking Theo down, Todd grabbed his chance to escape, while the villain took a shower.

This plan unfortunately failed, as it transpired Theo locked them both in and took the keys.

Theo caught Todd in his attempt to escape and issued a chilling warning: 'You've lied to me for the last time.'

Elsewhere, at Sarah's, she was relieved to hear Todd ring her intercom - but left concerned when he said he couldn't up upstairs.

Rushing downstairs, she found Todd covered in blood and slumped on the floot after a serious beating.

Kit went to get his car to bring Todd to the hospital but Todd told Sarah: 'No, take me to the police station.'

Tonight's (April 15) episode will explore the aftermath, as well as what's next for Todd and Theo.

Last night, neither Coronation Street or Emmerdale were on at their usual timeslots - due to a schedule shake-up.

The 'soap power hour' was again scrapped for the evening to make way for sporting fixtures.

This time, it was the Women's European Qualifier match, which saw England's Lionesses go head-to-head with Spain.

Emmerdale typically airs on ITV from Monday to Friday at 8pm while Coronation Street typically airs at 8:30pm.

However, fans of both soaps will instead be treated to an extra episode of each on Sunday to ensure that they still get an ample weekly fix.

This is not the first time that the soaps have recently been cancelled to make way for sport and it also happened just two weeks ago.

Airing in their place was an international football match of England vs Japan, from 7pm and 10.05pm.

As is the case this week, the new episodes aired on Sunday evening to make up for fans missing out on Tuesday.

Beginning in January, ITV debuted their soap power hour, with each programme airing a 30-minute episode from Monday to Friday.

Before this, Coronation Street aired hour-long episodes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Emmerdale, meanwhile, aired Monday to Friday, with a double episode on Thursdays.
