Emmerdale and Coronation Street have been axed from screens tonight in a big schedule shake-up.
It means viewers tuning into the beloved ITV soaps will have to wait until tomorrow for the next installments.
Airing in their place will be an international football match of England vs Japan, from 7pm and 10.05pm.
Both soaps, however, will return to their regular timeslots for the remainder of the week.
Much like last week, new episodes will also air on Sunday evening to make up for fans missing out on Tuesday.
This will see Emmerdale air at 7pm, followed by Coronation Street at 7.30pm, with crime drama Grace following after that.
Emmerdale and Coronation Street are pulled from screens tonight in the latest ITV schedule shake-up
Both soaps, however, will return to their regular timeslots for the remainder of the week - albeit with one further change
Beginning in January, ITV debuted their 'soap power hour', with each programme airing a 30-minute episode from Monday to Friday.
Before this, Coronation Street aired hour-long episodes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, while Emmerdale aired Monday to Friday, with a double episode on Thursdays.
As previously mentioned, soap viewers faced a similar schedule shake-up just last week.
The soaps did not air on Friday (March 27), with the England vs Uruguay football match being shown on ITV instead.
Although it is not just soap viewers who have faced disruption to the regular scheduling.
Elsewhere, BBC crime drama Death in Paradise aired its series 15 finale on that same Friday - two weeks after the preceding episode.
Viewers had seen DI Mervin Wilson (Don Gilet) face his fair share of drama -including reuniting with long-lost half brother Solomon Clarke (Daniel Ward).
The penultimate episode ended on an intriguing cliffhanger, with Mervin's niece Eloise (Avah Cottrell) unexpectedly turning up on his doorstep.
However, the annual Comic Relief fundraiser took over the programme's timeslot for one week, before scheduling resumed normally.
Earlier in series 15, an episode was broadcast on BBC One on Monday, February 16, rather than its usual Friday primetime slot.
The FA Cup match between Chelsea and Hull was broadcast on the Friday (February 13) in its place.
Meanwhile, fans of long-running BBC medical drama Casualty have had to wait for new episodes to hit screens.
At present, the show is airing a miniseries titled Learning Curve, with two episodes remaining.
The BBC hit went off air to make way for Big Night of Musicals 2026, by the National Lottery.
Hosted by Jason Manford, the evening celebrated West End shows like Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables and Matilda.
Meanwhile, Casualty will be returning to screens on April 11 at 8.30pm.
And earlier this month, it was announced that two ITV daytime shows would be pulled off air for WEEKS in a schedule shake-up set to leave fans livid.
Elsewhere, two huge ITV daytime shows, including Lorraine, have been pulled off air for WEEKS in a schedule shake-up that will leave fans absolutely livid
Viewers have usually been treated to Good Morning Britain, followed by Lorraine, This Morning and then Loose Women every weekday on the channel.
In the shake-up, Good Morning Britain airs from 6am, all the way through to 10am and then This Morning starts before wrapping up at 12:30pm.
This meant Lorraine, which usually airs between 9:30am and 10am, and Loose Women, which is on screens weekdays for one hour from 12:30pm, would not be on.
Stand-in host Christine Lampard, who presented the most recent episode of Lorraine, told viewers: 'That's all for today, Lorraine will be back in a few weeks time.
'Have a lovely weekend, we'll see you soon!'
While Kaye Adams said on Loose Women: 'It's your last Loose Women for a few weeks.
'But we will be back next month!
'Until then, take care. Have a fabulous weekend and Easter, and we'll see you very soon!'
