To the Editor We read with interest the report by Wortelboer et al evaluating sequencing strategies for cyclin-dependent kinase 4 and 6 inhibitors (CDK4/6) inhibitors in hormone receptor–positive, ERBB2-negative advanced breast cancer. The authors concluded that delayed introduction of CDK4/6 inhibitors after initial endocrine therapy did not compromise overall survival (OS) compared with first-line use. While the SONIA trial provides important evidence regarding treatment sequencing, several aspects of the statistical framework warrant further clarification.
