One of the world's most infamous UFO cases has been referenced in the latest release of Trump's UFO files.
This week a seventh batch of secretive files has been released to the public and of particular interest this time around is the inclusion of an affidavit about the Roswell UFO incident of 1947.
It was made by Walter Haut - the Roswell Army Air Field public information officer who initially issued a press release claiming that the US government had recovered an anomalous flying disc.
The official story was quickly changed to suggest that the object had instead been a weather balloon, but by then the damage was done and the rest - as they say - is history.
In 2002, Haut came clean about what had happened.
Most notably, he claimed that, while visiting the hangar where the debris had been kept, he observed the bodies of two 'child-like' entities and a strange metallic, egg-shaped object.
"I am convinced that what I personally observed was some type of craft and its crew from outer space," he said of the incident.
Haut's affidavit was originally published in a book in 2007, but now it has surfaced again in a report found in the latest batch of UFO files from the Pentagon.
His testimony was redacted to remove his name and hidden inside a contractor report, but we know it's the real deal because it matches what was published in 2007.
Is this further evidence of a cover-up? Does it prove that the US government knew more than it was letting on?
As always, the files can be browsed and downloaded at https://www.war.gov/UFO/.
