A new Board is taking the lead at CO₂ Value Europe. Following the association’s General Assembly, we welcome eight newly elected Directors who will join Yosra Briki (Vicat), continuing her mandate for a second year.
Together, the nine Directors bring experience from across the CO₂ capture and utilisation (CCU) landscape, with a balance between industry and research and technology organisations (RTOs). Their combined expertise will help shape CO₂ Value Europe’s priorities as the sector moves from technology development towards wider deployment and new policy and market frameworks emerge across Europe.
Meet the new BoardThe CO₂ Value Europe Board for the 2026–2027 term is:
Eight of the Directors were elected at the General Assembly during the 10th CO2 Value Europe Days 2026. Yosra Briki continues on the Board after being elected in 2025 for a two-year mandate, and therefore did not stand for re-election this year.
The new Board brings together perspectives from industrial companies, technology developers and research and technology organisations, reflecting the breadth of CO₂ Value Europe’s membership. This diversity is particularly relevant as CCU develops across different sectors and applications, from industrial CO₂ capture and conversion to the production of fuels, chemicals and materials.
A new Board for a changing CCU landscapeThe next years will be important for the development of CCU in Europe. Policy frameworks are evolving, projects are progressing towards commercial scale, and questions around CO₂ availability, markets, infrastructure, investment and accounting are becoming increasingly central to the deployment of CCU.
Against this backdrop, the Board will provide strategic direction to CO₂ Value Europe and support the association in representing its members’ interests, contributing to European policy discussions and strengthening collaboration across the CCU community.
Building on the work of the previous BoardThe new Board also marks a transition for the association. CO₂ Value Europe would like to thank the outgoing Directors for their time, expertise and commitment to the association and its members.
Their contribution has helped shape CO₂ Value Europe’s work over the past years and provided an important foundation for the next phase of the association’s activities.
With a new Board in place and a diverse membership behind it, CO₂ Value Europe looks forward to continuing to advance the role of CO₂ capture and utilisation in Europe.
