Lower prices on new 24SC+ licenses, larger deployments [...]

AI is changing what businesses can do with their communications platform. It is also changing how software companies develop, test, support and operate their products. At 3CX, we're using AI internally and externally. We're adding new AI capabilities to 3CX, while internally it’s helping us work faster and operate more efficiently.
That changes the economics of running 3CX. We're reducing prices by 10% on any Edition of a 24SC+ licenses, with a 15% reduction on any Edition of a 256SC+ licenses as well as a further 10% discount if you purchase or renew these licenses for 3-years. As technology lowers our costs, we want customers to benefit from those savings too.
AI Changes More Than the ProductMost of the conversation around AI is about features. 3CX is adding AI Agents, transcription, call summaries and new ways to integrate AI into business communications. Behind the scenes, we're also using AI to improve how we build and support the product.
Development cycles are getting faster, testing is becoming more efficient and more support processes can be automated. This allows us to handle more work without increasing headcount and operating costs at the same rate.
For 20 years, 3CX has challenged the idea that enterprise communications need enterprise-level pricing. We don't see AI as a reason to simply add another premium to the price. If AI helps us become more productive, part of that gain can go back into the economics of the product.
Focusing Investment Where It Creates ValueNot everything still makes sense for 3CX to build and operate itself. Technology has moved on, and in some areas specialist providers can now deliver the underlying infrastructure better and at a lower cost.
Voicemail transcription is one example. Running our own transcription infrastructure at scale is expensive when high-quality transcription is now readily available from providers such as OpenAI, xAI Grok and Google. We are therefore retiring the legacy 3CX voicemail transcription infrastructure.
We're retiring the infrastructure, not transcription itself. 3CX continues to invest in AI Edition, including support for external AI providers and the 3CX AI Server. Our development resources are better spent building the AI capabilities around communications than maintaining infrastructure that others can now provide more efficiently.
Strengthening Integrated ConferencingThe same applies to webinars. Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and dedicated webinar platforms already do this well. It makes little sense for 3CX to keep investing in infrastructure to replicate every feature available from specialist platforms, particularly when only part of our customer base needs advanced webinar functionality.
Over the coming months, we'll scale back dedicated webinar infrastructure and focus our investment on integrated voice and video conferencing within the same platform used for calls, chat, contact center and CRM. Customers that need advanced, large-scale webinar functionality can combine 3CX with a dedicated webinar platform.
That lets us invest where 3CX adds the most value instead of trying to be everything to everyone.
Fair Use to Stop Oversized Deployments from Raising Everyone's CostsThere's another important part of keeping 3CX affordable: making sure the licensing model works fairly for everyone. 3CX does not charge a license for every user. Instead, customers size their system primarily around the simultaneous calls they need, with recommended limits helping ensure that deployments are appropriately sized.
That model can provide significant savings, particularly as organizations grow. But for system-based licensing to remain sustainable, reasonable usage boundaries matter. Our Fair Use Policy and system sizing guidelines help prevent a small number of disproportionately large deployments from placing costs on the wider customer base. It's about protecting the economics.
When systems are appropriately sized, we can continue offering customers and Partners the flexibility of a system-based model while keeping pricing sustainable.
Unlocking Enterprise Features for 8SC+ PRO & AI EditionsAs a result of our successful efforts with oversized deployments, we’re now able to unlock two major enterprise grade features for 8SC+ license holders.
Previously the Data Connectors reporting feature (PostgreSQL/Google BigQuery/Grafana) was reserved for AI & PRO Editions 16SC and above. It will now be available for 8SC+ PRO & AI Editions.
3CX Onboard Transcription Server, also previously reserved for AI Edition 16SC+ only, will become available in Update 10 for 8SC+ AI Edition.
Of note is also that In 2027 we'll introduce pay-by-bank options alongside credit card payment: ACH pay by banks in the US, and A2A Open Banking in Europe. But we're not waiting until 2027 to pass those savings on - they're already been factored into today's pricing announcement! It's possible that credit card payments will carry a small extra charge at some point.
Passing the Savings on to End UsersAI is helping us develop and support 3CX more efficiently. We're reducing infrastructure that no longer makes sense to operate ourselves, focusing development on areas where 3CX can add more value and creating a healthier base for system-based licensing.
The savings from those changes aren't all staying with 3CX. We're passing the savings back through lower pricing:

More Capability. Better Economics.3CX has been built around a simple idea: business communications technology should deliver more value than it costs. AI gives us new capabilities, but it’s also making the business behind those capabilities more efficient.
That's important. AI shouldn't automatically mean another charge, another add-on or another premium. When it allows us to develop faster, automate more and reduce the cost of operating 3CX, customers should see some of that benefit too.
That's what we're doing with these price reductions.
