TCS trumps Q2 estimates: Net profit grows 15% to ₹13,884 crore

TCS beat second-quarter estimates, with net profit rising 14.9 per cent to ₹13,884 crore and revenue reaching ₹73,188 crore, while its annualised AI revenue run-rate rose 19 per cent to $3.1 billion. The company also declared a second interim dividend of ₹12 per share.

No more input tax credit block for companies buying insurance cover

The GST Council has recommended allowing businesses to claim input tax credit on health and life insurance bought for employees, along with certain services bought for resale. Pharma companies will also get credit on free medicine samples and goods destroyed after expiry, while ITC on motor vehicles remains under review.
