With the storm offshore now far out in the open Atlantic, our attention turns to the cooler air dropping in from the north.
This will cap our temperatures in the mid and upper 50s today, with a decreasing wind in the afternoon.
Stage is set tonight for a big drop in temps as high pressure sits directly overhead.
Lows will fall back to the mid-20s in the colder spots, while Boston falls into the upper 30s (thanks to a slight breeze right at the water’s edge).
The outcome is almost the same for Saturday night/Sunday morning. Coldest readings again away from the coast.
We’ll see a big jump on Monday back near 70 before the temps slump Tuesday and Wednesday.
These are some stunningly sunny days ahead. Deep blue skies should last into midday Monday, then return Tuesday and part of Wednesday. Our next chance of rain likely won’t be until the start of November, with a little bump in the numbers by Halloween.
Foliage is peaking across much of the southern New England. Get out and enjoy the sights and have a great weekend.
And don’t forget, we “fall back” next weekend!
