Zero-G say that their latest creation isn’t your typical sample library or collection of instruments, but rather a deeply programmable cinematic instrument that’s been built around a powerful and flexible modern engine.

Elements Silentium comes packed with an array of sources — dark organic textures, evolving strings, ritual voices, folk timbres, percussion, acoustic gestures and so on — and provides users with the tools to transform them into “complete sonic and musical worlds”. It draws inspiration from modern scores such as House of the Dragon and The Odyssey, and has been designed for composers in search of atmosphere and movement rather than static, isolated sounds.

A collection of 600 presets crafted from 24GB of material offers a wealth of starting points and cover a wide range of styles. Gentle string and woodwind sounds are complemented by characterful pianos and an array of vocal textures that are well suited to intimate, quiet scenes, while more dramatic-sounding percussion, drums, vocals and other sources allow the library to be put to work on darker material.
