Morning Pointe Senior Living is joining the Samaritan Center Food Drive, running Oct. 12 through Nov. 9, to help local families keep food on the table.
The effort invites businesses, churches, schools, organizations and individuals to collect nonperishable food donations for families in need. Several Morning Pointe locations in the Chattanooga area are participating, bringing residents, associates, families and neighbors together around a shared effort to support the community.
“Strong communities are built when people and organizations come together to support their neighbors,” said Abby Medley, regional vice president of Operations for the Lookout region with Morning Pointe Senior Living. “We’re proud to take part in this effort with the Samaritan Center and encourage others in our community to get involved. Something as simple as donating a few pantry staples can help make a difference for a family facing a difficult time.”
For Morning Pointe residents, the food drive also offers an opportunity to continue contributing to the communities they call home.
“Giving back is important at every stage of life, and opportunities like this allow our residents to be part of something that reaches beyond our own communities,” said Amanda Yelenick, Vice President of Life Enrichment with Morning Pointe Senior Living. “When residents take part in efforts that help others, they can see that their contributions still matter. It’s another way for them to feel valued, stay connected to the larger community and know they are making a difference in someone else’s life.”
Participating Morning Pointe locations include:
Morning Pointe Senior Living home offices in Ooltewah
Morning Pointe of Chattanooga Assisted Living
Morning Pointe of Greenbriar Cove Assisted Living
