Here’s a treat for horror fans: Bloody-Disgusting has the first teaser for the much-anticipated “Crossed,” the movie adaptation of the Garth Ennis comic of the same name. There’s still no word on when “Crossed” will reach audiences, but the one-minute clip offers a look at the film’s tone and visuals. Take a look at it below.

For those unfamiliar with Ennis’ comic, this teaser may come across as a little tame, because “Crossed” is about as depraved as comic books get; but then, that shouldn’t surprise anyone familiar with “The Boys” another Ennis creation. It is just a teaser, however, so the truly gross stuff no doubt comes in the film itself.

Set in the wake of an apocalypse, “Crossed” follows a group of strangers as they attempt to escape north away from the titular infected: highly violent zombie-like humans with crosses on their foreheads. Devin Druid and Ash Santos lead the film’s ensemble, which also includes Ethan Jones Romero, Kyla Lee, Chido Nwokocha, Owen Harn, and more.

“The Sadness” director Rob Jabbaz directs a script by Ennis, based on his comic he co-wrote with Jacen Burrows. Producers on the film include Carl Choi, Benjamin Hung, Ken Levin, and Carl Amari.

Stay tuned for official word on the world premiere location and theatrical release date for “Crossed.” Will this horror pic live up to the hype? We’ll see, but the teaser below should lend some clues…
