The Yellow Tie tells the epic true story of Sergiu Celibidache, a conductor revered and misunderstood in equal measure. It follows him from a childhood under his father’s iron rule, through a painful break from home to chase a life in music, and on to Berlin, where he masters his craft. When war erupts, Celibidache has to escape death and starvation to secure his place in classical music, but his relentless pursuit of perfection threatens to overshadow his legacy for good.
