I’m growing weary of media hype blaming “crippling” gas prices on the Trump administration. Pundits try to convince the electorate that capitalism is dead and the Democratic Socialists are the answer to lower fuel costs. If we believe this, we must jettison the Trump economy and turn to the Democrats for relief at the pump.

But before you go to the polls and vote in the radical left in search of better times, research the facts.

The national average for unleaded gas from January through September 2022 under Joe Biden was $4.086 per gallon. That national average for the current January through September 2026 (under Donald Trump) is $3.815 — more than 27 cents a gallon cheaper. Yet where was the wailing from the current doom and gloomers under Mr. Biden’s policies?

Are you willing to vote in candidates who support a failed socialist economic system because of your perceived “pain” at the pump, when in reality your average pain was 27 cents per gallon greater under the previous administration? That fact somehow doesn’t make the misleading emotional headlines we are bombarded with today.
