A woman was left very 'unsettled' after she claimed that she discovered a decade-old photo of her family inside the Airbnb she was staying in.

Aubrey Birrell took to TikTok last week to share her horror after she checked into an Airbnb in San Diego for the July Fourth holiday with her family and noticed something odd about one of the portraits on the wall.

She claimed that the image, which showed a bunch of people enjoying a beach, had her dad, sister and brother in it.

She insisted they had never stayed at the Airbnb before and that she had no idea how the owner got ahold of the photo, which was taken a decade prior.

'The weirdest thing happened. It's unsettling,' Aubrey began in the now-viral video.

'We get to our Airbnb in San Diego and we're looking through it and we're looking at this picture and my dad is like, "This looks like me."'

Aubrey then showed the image in question, which consisted of a beach scene with an array of people lounging on the sand and swimming in the water.

She zoomed in on one man who stood in the ocean with a young girl.

'This is my dad,' an astounded Aubrey went on. 'And that's my sister, Libby, 10 years ago.'

She then moved the camera to a nearby boy, adding: 'And that's Brady, my brother, 10 years ago. They're literally in the Airbnb picture.'

Aubrey's sister, Libby, then interjected: 'This is a random Airbnb, we have no connections to it.

'We [still] have those swimsuits. We're literally in this picture,' she said. 'We're on the Airbnb wall. This can't be real. We're spiraling.'

'It's the craziest thing,' Aubrey admitted.

The video quickly went viral, gaining more than 679,000 views.

Some people theorized that the host may have been playing a prank on them, while others wondered if it was fake.

However, many viewers believed it was a true coincidence and were left pretty freaked out by it.

'Literally sounds like the start of a horror movie,' one social media user wrote.

'One in hundreds of millions odds? Universe trolling hard. Simulation confirmed. This is insane,' added another.

'If this were to happen [to me] I’ve seen enough horror movies to nope out of that place. Straight to the car leave the bags straight to the car I’m leaving,' someone else shared.

'That's either the wildest coincidence ever... or someone needs to explain how that photo ended up on the wall,' a fourth post read.

'Possible the host is a sociopathic serial killer who stalked the people who booked the Airbnb and wanted them to see the picture before he made them his victim. Or it's staged,' a fifth said.

'This is the start of a Black Mirror episode,' a different viewer posted.
