СпутникиРНSpaceXРоскосмосNASAI found an issue with the AES password encryption configuration from the GUI in IOS-XE 26.1.1 & 26.2.1.The AES password encryption feature was introduced in IOS-XE 26.1, but the corresponding configuration does not appear to be applied when configured from the GUI.
In the GUI, the "Encryption Type" and "Primary Key (Type 6 = AES)" fields are available under Password Encryption.The Encryption Type setting is correctly reflected in the CLI configuration as:
password encryption aes
However, the Primary Key setting should correspond to the following CLI configuration, but it is not applied:
key config-key password-encrypt <Master-Key>
In other words, the Encryption Type setting is reflected correctly, while the Primary Key setting is not reflected in the CLI configuration.[ Log ]
