I write in support of Cheryl Golek, who is running in District 99 to represent Harpswell and Brunswick residents once again in the Maine State Legislature.

I first met her in person in the hall leading to the House of Representatives when, given my hearing loss, she took me off to a quiet corner where I could hear her better.

Cheryl grew up in a modest home. She gets the challenges everyday folks face. In the first session of the 131st Legislature, she introduced LD 815, An Act to Provide Energy Efficiency Program Outreach and Assistance to Manufactured Housing Residents. It was her first introduced bill and was passed and signed into law by Gov. Mills.

Cheryl knows that we can’t have healthy communities without a healthy environment. For three campaigns running, Maine Conservation voters have endorsed her, and in two of those three they gave her a 100% score.
