crazysodomite:crazysodomite:crazysodomite:you know what pisses me off? i think that the idea that you just need to try hard to “manage” the 9 to 5 schedule and make the best of like, 3 hours of free time you get per day, is a disservice to your fellow workerstelling people that this schedule is sustainable to human life is a disservice8 hours 5 days a week is just not sustainable to a happy human life, and 12 hour shift (or longer) are basically inhumane we should talk more about that and not about how you just need to “learn how to manage your time” the 9 to 5 doesn’t allow you to live unless you have like, IMPECCABLE time management skills and strength to do anything after a shift. and i refuse to believe anyone does anything after a 12 hour shift instead of going straight to bed it basically shifts the blame to the worker“if you don’t feel like doing anything after your 8 hour shift, it’s your fault for not being Stronger”“if you feel like you don’t have time to do anything while working full time, that’s your problem which you are solely responsible for”
you know what pisses me off?
i think that the idea that you just need to try hard to “manage” the 9 to 5 schedule and make the best of like, 3 hours of free time you get per day, is a disservice to your fellow workers
telling people that this schedule is sustainable to human life is a disservice
8 hours 5 days a week is just not sustainable to a happy human life, and 12 hour shift (or longer) are basically inhumane
we should talk more about that and not about how you just need to “learn how to manage your time”
the 9 to 5 doesn’t allow you to live unless you have like, IMPECCABLE time management skills and strength to do anything after a shift. and i refuse to believe anyone does anything after a 12 hour shift instead of going straight to bed
it basically shifts the blame to the worker
“if you don’t feel like doing anything after your 8 hour shift, it’s your fault for not being Stronger”
“if you feel like you don’t have time to do anything while working full time, that’s your problem which you are solely responsible for”
