The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, will welcome fans to campus Saturday, Sept. 26, as the Vols take on the University of Texas at Austin in their Southeastern Conference opener. This will be the Longhorns’ first visit to Neyland Stadium and the third meeting between the two teams.

Kickoff is set for noon inside Neyland Stadium. Gates will open at 9:30 a.m. The game will be broadcast nationally on ABC and the ESPN app at noon.

ESPN’s “College GameDay” will broadcast live from the UT campus for the 13th time ahead of the game. The show will be anchored from the lawn of Ayres Hall from 9 to 11 a.m. The final hour of the show, from 11 a.m. to noon, will be broadcast from inside Neyland Stadium leading up to kickoff. Fans are encouraged to arrive early. Camping overnight is not permitted.

Tennessee Athletics has designated the matchup as the annual Checker Neyland game, presented by Pilot. The popular fan-driven initiative showcases UT’s iconic checkerboard pattern in the stands of Neyland Stadium.

Fans are encouraged to wear orange or white and can visit CheckerNeyland.com and enter their section, row and seat number as it appears on their digital ticket to see their assigned color. Fans should note that the orange and white designations have swapped sections from previous Checker Neyland games.

Fans can listen to the official Tennessee Athletics radio broadcast on the Vol Network of 70 stations across Tennessee and the Southeast (locally, WIVK-FM 107.7/WNML-FM 99.1), SiriusXM (Ch. 84) and the Sirius XM app (Ch. 984) and the Varsity app.

The official Spanish radio broadcast is available locally on WNML-AM 990. A live audio stream of the broadcasts in both English and Spanish will be available on the UT Sports website and the Tennessee Athletics app.
