Saturday will feature a sold-out Checker Neyland crowd on Rocky Top. Checker Neyland showcases UT's iconic checkerboard pattern throughout Neyland Stadium, preserved by Pilot, which will be sold out for the 30th straight game dating back to 2022.

Tennessee has won three of its last four Checker Neyland games, posting victories over Florida (38-33 in 2022 & 23-17 in 2024) and Texas A&M (20-13 in 2023).

Fans should plan to arrive early and expect increased security measures in and around Neyland Stadium. Fans can enjoy half-priced concessions (including alcohol) inside of Neyland Stadium from 9-10 a.m.

All stadium gates will open at 9 a.m. ET. Ticketed attendees are strongly encouraged to arrive significantly earlier than they would for a typical game. Enhanced security screening will be conducted before entry by the Secret Service Police at all stadium gates. Fans should expect increased wait times as kickoff approaches.

Re-entry is not permitted once a ticket has been scanned for admission.

Fans should also anticipate additional security checkpoints and verification procedures in areas surrounding Neyland Stadium. To help expedite entry, attendees should have mobile tickets ready before approaching stadium gates.

Guests are encouraged to travel light and review the University of Tennessee Athletics clear bag policy and prohibited items list before arriving on campus. Prohibited items will not be allowed inside Neyland Stadium, and there are no storage locations available for prohibited items. Heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic are expected across portions of campus several hours before kickoff. Temporary roadway closures, traffic control measures, and pedestrian routing adjustments may be implemented to support game day operations. Fans should allow extra travel time and consider arriving well in advance of kickoff.

Fans should also expect congestion and brief delays when moving through campus and areas near the stadium before and after the game. EXTENDED PERIMETER SECURITY CHECKPOINTS
The security perimeter will open at 8 a.m., and fans may move in and out of the secured perimeter throughout the day.

Please note, coolers are not permitted through the extended perimeter. Fans wishing to move around campus are encouraged to use the stairs at the corner of G5/30 to access areas near G10 and Circle Park. Tickets will NOT be scanned at the security perimeter. Ticket scanning will occur only at stadium entry gates, which open at 9 a.m.

Tickets for Saturday's game are officially sold out. Tickets and parking passes to all Tennessee Athletics events, including football, are digital and can be accessed through a mobile device to improve security and reduce the risk of ticket fraud as well as make the process more convenient for fans.

Fans will gain admission into Neyland Stadium via a unique QR code which will be scanned directly from a mobile device. For quick and easy entry into Tennessee Athletics venues, fans are encouraged to download the Tennessee Athletics app from the App Store (iPhone) and Google Play (Android). Your mobile device is the ticket on gameday. All valid digital tickets will display a moving barcode or a hold near reader (tap-and-go) icon. Printed PDF tickets will no longer be issued or accepted for entry at any Tennessee Athletics venue. The only authorized sources for tickets to Tennessee Athletics events are the Tennessee Athletics Ticket Office, AllVols.com, the venue box office where the athletic event is taking place and Ticketmaster.

NEW GAMEDAY TRAFFIC PATTERNS
Earlier this summer, University of Tennessee Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics Danny White announced new traffic patterns for football gamedays at Neyland Stadium, which can be found in full detail by clicking HERE.

Fans attending major events at Neyland Stadium will notice improved traffic patterns throughout this season.

Tennessee Athletics has partnered with Visit Knoxville, the City of Knoxville, Knox County, TDOT, KPD, UTPD, campus leadership and engineering consultant Kimley-Horn to develop comprehensive gameday traffic solutions for fans attending events on Rocky Top.

Fans without parking passes are recommended to avoid the campus corridor, stay in the downtown area or use the KAT shuttle options. Some drivers will be asked to go in the opposite direction of traditional daily traffic patterns - this is essential to help expedite traffic flow after major events.

A new, state-of-the-art sound system highlights the gameday enhancements that fans will experience this fall as they enjoy Tennessee football in Neyland Stadium, preserved by Pilot. Also new this season is an extended Southeast Concourse 3, Champions Corner located outside of Gate 9, yellow line down and distance technology on the video boards as well as multiple concessions enhancements and new locations.

ESPN College GameDay: ESPN College GameDay is returning to Knoxville for the 13th time when Tennessee hosts top-ranked Texas for its SEC opener on Saturday afternoon in Neyland Stadium.

The show will once again originate from the lawn of Ayres Hall from 9 a.m. ET until 11 a.m. The final hour of the show from 11 a.m. to noon will be held inside Neyland Stadium leading up to the noon kickoff on ABC. Fans are encouraged to arrive early. Camping overnight is not permitted.

Rece Davis is at the helm of ESPN College GameDay for his 12th season. He's joined at the desk by GameDay analysts Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee and Nick Saban. College football insider Pete Thamel, 'Stanford Steve' Coughlin and reporters Jen Lada and Jess Sims round out the cast. Actor, televisoon star and Knoxville native Johnny Knoxville will serve as the celebrity guest picker while legendary Tennessee quarterback Peyton Manning is set to join the show during Pat McAfee's "Kicking is Easy" contest.
