Jin is making his Netflix debut with 'Kian's Bizarre B&B', a guesthouse reality series that places its cast in an unconventional setting. Rather than a traditional property, the show is set aboard a quirky bed and breakfast floating in the ocean near Ulleungdo.

The series brings together Jin, artist and entertainer Kian84, and actress Ji Ye-eun. The guesthouse itself is shaped by Kian84's artistic imagination, with the setting featuring whimsical details designed to make the cast and their guests part of an unusual experience.

Among the standout elements are a rock-climbing entrance and cocoon-shaped tea rooms, giving the accommodation an almost fantasy-like atmosphere. The unconventional design also provides the backdrop for a series of playful activities and challenges involving the hosts.

Produced by Jung Hyo-min, with producer Lee So-min also part of the production team, the series aims to combine the familiar appeal of a guesthouse reality show with Kian84's eccentric creative style.

The trailer gives viewers a first look at the hosts navigating their responsibilities while taking part in various challenges. Jin, in particular, brings a different dynamic to the show as he balances his global celebrity status with the everyday interactions expected from a guesthouse host.

Jin has also spoken about the way he approaches interactions with guests on the show. Despite his enormous popularity as a BTS member, he said he acts in a fun and friendly manner to prevent guests from feeling distant because of his celebrity status.

That approach could become an important part of the series, especially given the unusual premise. The show places internationally recognized stars in a setting where casual interactions and unpredictable moments are central to the format.

For Jin, the project provides an opportunity to show a side of himself that fans may not always see through BTS' music-focused activities.

While Jin is making his debut in a Netflix reality format, V is returning to scripted acting with 'That Night, Our Decaf'.

The romantic short film marks V's first scripted acting role since his acting debut in the 2016 historical drama 'Hwarang'. In the new project, he plays a shy and reserved student who has an unexpected late-night encounter with a former classmate, played by actress Park Ji Min.

The story begins with an understated coincidence: the two characters order the same decaf coffee. What initially appears to be an ordinary encounter gradually develops into an emotional reconnection between former classmates.

Rather than relying on dramatic plot twists, the film focuses on atmosphere, intimacy and emotions that remain largely unspoken. Its late-night coffeehouse setting gives the story a soft, cinematic quality, with nostalgia playing a central role.

'That Night, Our Decaf' premiered on April 10, 2026, through Compose Coffee's official digital platforms as part of the Korean coffee brand's campaign. The project was promoted through teasers, posters and a short trailer ahead of its release.

The separate projects involving Jin and V also reflect a broader shift in the K-pop industry, where entertainment careers increasingly extend across music, television, film and digital content.

For newer generations of idols in particular, screen appearances can become part of an artist's career from the beginning rather than representing a complete transition away from music. Streaming services have further expanded these opportunities by giving performers access to audiences far beyond their home markets.

Recent projects involving K-pop stars have demonstrated the range of these opportunities, from domestic film productions to international television series. TWICE's Dahyun, for example, has expanded into film, while BLACKPINK's Lisa has taken on a high-profile HBO acting role.
