ENR Texas & Southeast recently announced the category winners of its Best Projects competition for the Texas and Louisiana Region, recognizing outstanding achievements in design and construction across Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Mississippi. In addition to those awards, judges selected three projects from among the winners as finalists for this year's Project of the Year. 

All winning project teams will be recognized at a luncheon on Oct. 28 at the Westin Oaks Houston at the Galleria.

Project of the Year Finalists (in alphabetical order)

• Houston Ship Channel Expansion – Project 11, Segments 1 and 2, located in Chambers, Galveston and Harris Counties, Texas. Submitted by AECOM and Gahagan & Bryant Associates
• Kids' Meals ExxonMobil Campus, located in Houston. Submitted by Satterfield & Pontikes Construction
• Lake Ralph Hall Pipeline, Balancing Reservoir, & Lake Ralph Hall Delivery Point, located in Celeste, Texas. Submitted by Garney
