Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday said that the state government would unveil the master plan of the Bharat Future City at the 'Invest Telangana Global Summit-2026' to be organised in December this year.

Speaking at the 'Praja Palana Dinotsavam' celebration organised here by the state government to mark the anniversary of merger of erstwhile princely state of Hyderabad under Nizam rule with the Indian Union, he said the 'Future City' would feature specialised zones such as the Young India Skills University, a Life Sciences Hub, an EV Park, an AI City, a Health City, and an Education City.

He said TCS has come forward to build the country's largest AI data centre in Future City with an investment of Rs 70,000 crore. Amazon has already commenced the construction of a data centre with an investment of Rs one lakh crore.

Recalling the merger of the Nizam's Hyderabad State with the Indian Union, he said the country's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and his deputy Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel "enforced" military action known as 'Operation Polo' after recognising the aspirations and respecting the movements of the people of Hyderabad.

During Nizam's rule, Hyderabad achieved significant growth in industry, agriculture, education and medical sectors and also gained global recognition, the CM said.

At the same time, rural Telangana was plagued by intense feudal exploitation, bonded labour, and oppression. The atrocities committed by the Razakars (armed supporters of Nizam rule) threw the people into turmoil and deep struggle in the final phase, he said.

The Andhra Mahasabha and the Hyderabad State Congress had carried out movements to make Hyderabad an integral part of India and the Communists organised armed struggle and fought against the atrocities of the Razakars, he said.

Reddy said the state government is celebrating September 17 as Praja Palana Dinotsavam (People's Governance Day) as the merger of the Hyderabad State with Indian Union marked not only the end of the Nizam's rule but also a historic moment that paved the way for the transition from monarchical rule to democratic governance.

Reddy, who highlighted the state government's welfare and development programmes, said Telangana state's Per Capita Income recorded a tremendous growth of Rs 4,18,931 which is nearly 91 per cent higher than the national average.
