The Maya by Sterling Homes addresses this and other everyday inconveniences with features designed to make routines easier.

This front-drive single-family model measures 2,507 square feet and is now displayed as a show home in Vantage Rise. This new Airdrie community will feature a 4.96-hectare commercial zone with a pedestrian-oriented Main Street, storm pond plaza and adventure play area, along with 6.07 hectares of green space, including a central park.

In the Maya’s primary bedroom, one of two walk-in closets connects directly to a laundry room with a front-load washer and dryer. The laundry room can also be accessed from the second-floor hallway, giving it a convenient location for both doing laundry and putting clothes away.

The other walk-in closet provides substantial storage and can also function as a dressing room. Two walk-in closets give each person their own dedicated storage space, making it easier to keep clothing and personal items organized and accessible.

For single people, the closets can be used to split their wardrobe between what’s in season and what’s out.

In the ensuite, vanities are on separate walls, giving each person their own sink and counter space, making it easier for two people to get ready at the same time without crowding each other.

The ensuite is also equipped with a deep soaker tub beneath a large window and a shower with full-height tile.

French doors separate the sleeping area from the ensuite, while an arched metallic alcove creates a defined backdrop for the bed.

On the opposite end of the second level, the secondary bedrooms are positioned side by side and are each equipped with a walk-in closet, supporting the occupant’s storage needs as they get older.

These bedrooms face a spacious bonus room that has a sliding glass door that opens to a balcony. The bonus room’s location just outside the bedrooms also gives children a separate place to play or game on Saturday mornings.

On the main level, the great room provides a spacious place for the household to gather, with tall windows bringing natural light into the room. Also in the great room, white stone surrounds an off-centre fireplace beneath a wood mantel.

Opening to the great room is an L-shaped kitchen headlined by an island with a waterfall edge design and seating for at least three people.

Supporting the storage offered through its array of cabinet doors and drawers is a corner walk-in pantry.

People who work from home will appreciate the main-floor flex room. Entered through an arched doorway, it offers the size and location to function well as a home office. Just off the foyer, it also makes accepting work-related deliveries or welcoming clients convenient without taking them deeper into the home.
