See you later, puffer coats and winter boots. We’ve got our eyes firmly set on spring.

Some of the biggest trends popping up this season seem to lean into the familiar. There’s not a lot that we haven’t seen before (fashion is, after all, cyclical). Instead, we’re seeing longtime silhouettes reimagined with creative styling and colour. Whether it’s sustainability driving the shift, or a desire for familiarity and comfort, the sunnier seasons of 2026 are all about seeing old things anew.

To help get you hyped for the season, we have rounded up a few of our favourite fashion finds of the season — all from Canadian brands.

While they each have an indisputable timeless appeal (read on to see what we mean), these items also offer on-trend elements that makes them feel perfectly right now.

Plenty Nicola Satin Printed Bias Cut Skirt

Sleek, lingerie-leaning pieces showed up all over the spring-summer runways. Whether touching on actual chic sleep silhouettes or the Aughts-aspects of lace-detailing on camis contrasted against low-rise jeans, adding a satin piece to your wardrobe this season will put your style right on point. We love the versatility of a bias-cut satin skirt like this one from the in-house line Monk & Lou at Vancouver-headquartered retailer Plenty. It can be dressed up for an evening out, but also looks perfectly effortless with a simple t-shirt. Plus, it’s a packable piece for any seasonal escapes.

RW&Co. Wool-Blend Long-Sleeved Cardigan

A cardigan is a wardrobe staple, transitioning from work to weekend, day to night. There is a timeless prep to a cardigan along with a nostalgia to the ’90s, and the ’50s before that. This season, it’s not the style that’s new, but rather the way that it is worn that feels fresh this time around. Wrap a cardigan around your shoulders, wear it open over jeans and a tee, or button it up over a favourite skirt or shorts. We love this wool-blend piece from the Montreal-headquartered company RW&Co. It’s a blank canvas kind of garment that will work with everything you pair it with.

Maguire Prato Ballerina

A “glove”-fit shoe is one of the top footwear trends of this spring. What is it exactly? The upper of the shoe is often made of a super-soft material that fits snuggly — like a glove — around the foot, often creeping higher up than a typical ballet flat, loafer or heel. The Prato Ballerina from the Montreal-headquartered brand Maguire fits the trend perfectly. Made in Portugal and featuring ultra-soft leather, the style boasts a softly squared toe and is available in a rainbow of colours (this sunny yellow hue particularly delicious) to ensure there’s a shade for every closet.

Lescarf Striped Silk Scarf

If you add only one new thing to your closet this spring, let it be a silk scarf. Whether you opt for one that’s small, large, printed, monochrome, rolled-edge, fringed — just make sure you have one at the ready this spring and summer. Why? Because scarves and scarf prints are going to be everywhere this season. The factor driving the boom is the creative ways the classic silk squares and rectangles are being styled. We’ve seen them as skirts, tops, hair ties, bags, belts … the list really does go on. This straightforward version from Lescarf at Simons is a versatile accessories to add to all your spring season ensembles.

Province of Canada Fleece Over-shirt

This unisex style is the perfect piece for the chillier early mornings and late evenings of spring. Tapping into the utility jacket trend, the style boasts four front pockets for added storage. Made in Canada out of a soft cotton material, the lightweight jacket design earns extra style points in this bold shade of blue. For those who prefer a more muted colour palette, it also comes chestnut brown, cream, black and more.
