  Considering replacing my site’s theme, I wanted to check the Modernist theme: https://wordpress.com/theme/modernist

  In the preview, I can see that not all the microcopy strings are translated, so I wanted to translate it (I have permissions and done that in the past for other themes).

  However, the theme doesn’t appear in the localization project https://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/themes/

  How can I translate and localize this theme?

  Hi there, and thanks for flagging this!

  You’re right that the Modernist theme doesn’t currently appear in the WordPress.com localization project: translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/themes/

  As you mentioned, you already have translator permissions and have contributed translations for other themes in the past; this isn’t a permissions issue on your end.

  I’ve raised this with our team to look into why Modernist hasn’t been added to the translation project yet. Once I hear back, I’ll update you here.

  The Modernist theme’s translation project has now been set up in GlotPress. You should be able to find it and start contributing translations here:
