Muon Space has completed a Series C round raising $250m, valuing the company at $1.5bn and taking its total funding to $386m.

Muon has opened a factory in San Jose, which is designed to produce up to 500 satellites annually by 2027. It has an order backlog of 50 units.

Investors in the Series C were Eclipse Capital, Google, Salesforce Ventures and Wellington Management.

Satellite construction demand has been spurred by demand for Earth observation data, secure communications, orbital computing and the success of SpaceX’s $1.75tn IPO and the success of Starship, which will reduce satellite launch cost by 95%.

Muon launched seven satellites in the first half of 2026, bringing its total ​to 11 deployed across six launches.
