How do you guys feel about the Onimusha series and how Way of the Sword is looking? Did you enjoy the demo? I think it is quite amazing to see a new Onimusha game after a twenty-year absence. I think it fits right into the PS5 climate too, especially when you consider the rise of samurai games over the past several years.

I will be honest, the demo disappointed me, it was just way too easy and I wasn't going to buy the game..... BUT with the roll Capcom have been on, I trust them enough they will stick the landing with the final product so I have it on preorder.

The only Onimusha I really got into was 3, the one with Jean Reno, and it was awesome. I love survival horror and have a real fondness for tank controls. It felt very fresh at the time. Beyond that, I’ve never given the series much of a chance.

Despite being open to it, the demo didn’t move the needle for me to a day one buy. I think it has a lot of potential but there’s too much coming out around the same time that I’m more excited about, including Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy. I’ll be keeping an eye on its reception and will almost certainly be playing it down the line. Hope it’s great!
