Lest we forget that it is always about men. Lest we forget that from the earliest days of this site, it has always been about men. Lest we forget in the wake of the original ‘pie-fight’ a large number of amazing contributors to this site (both men and women — but mostly women) were run off or banned.

I don’t really know how many of the old timers are left here. I rarely comment, but check in once or twice a week to see if something interesting pops up. What Kos posted yesterday encompasses the entire history of this website in a bizarrely succinct manner.

The problem with men isn’t just that they can be captured by the right. The problem with men is that most, irrespective of politics, don’t understand intersectionality, so they try to co-opt the left too.

The problem with men is they need to shut up and listen, and learn how to take part in a conversation.

This is why, as a man, I stopped blogging years ago and started reading and listening.
