Kristen Stewart showed off her toned legs in a white mini skirt as she stopped for snaps at The Chronology of Water photocall during the 51st Deauville American Film Festival in France.

The Twilight legend, 35, turned heads upon her arrival on Friday, going braless underneath a chic buttoned-up tweed jacket.

Kirsten added a brown belt to accessorise the pleated skirt and gave herself a few extra inches in a pair of black heels.

The Chronology of Water is Kristen's directorial debut and adapted by her from the 2011 memoir by Lidia Yuknavitch.

The feature piece, which is also produced by Kristen, tells the story of a woman who becomes a competitive swimmer after surviving an abusive childhood.

Kirsten presented the film at Cannes Film Festival earlier in May - where the film was met with critical acclaim following its screening.

The actres co-wrote the screenplay with Andy Mingo while British star Imogen Poots has been tapped to star as Yuknavitch, portraying the story of her tumultuous life.

'Lidia's memoir honors corporeal experience, radically' Kristen told Deadline.

'To make that experience physical feels vital to me and what this impulse means…is that it absolutely must be a film.'

She added: 'This project has been cooking for five years with the help of Scott Free, whom I could not be more privileged to have as partners and friends.'

The film is a reunion of sorts for Kristen and Scott Free Productions, who teamed up for her short-film directorial debut Come Swim (2017), which she also wrote and screened at both Cannes and Sundance. 

The month before, Kirsten tied the knot with her wife Dylan Meyer, 37, and a clip of her heartfelt vows during the casual wedding ceremony began circulating online shortly after.

While the A-list actress is no stranger to performing in front of crowds, Kristen was clearly brimming with nervous enthusiasm as she read her vows off a piece of paper.

Her heartfelt words were momentarily interrupted as she fumbled to adjust her microphone, sparking some laughter from the crowd and lightening the already sweet moment.

At one point, Kristen sweetly took Dylan's hands into her grasp. 

Dylan also read her vows off a piece of paper, and Kristen appeared moved by her words as she rubbed her eyes.

Friends and family gathered around the couple but gave them some space as they watched the ceremony unfold with their phones capturing the scene. 

Although Kristen and Dylan reportedly met back in 2013 on a movie set, the Hollywood figures didn't become an item until years later in August of 2019.
