Kristen Stewart put on a leggy display as she joined Zoey Deutch on the red carpet at the Nouvelle Vague premiere during the Deauville American Film Festival in France on Friday.

The American actress, 35, cut a trendy figure in a black semi-sheer mini dress adorned with pearl and diamond embellishments as she posed for the cameras. 

Kristen added inches to her frame with black open-toe platform heels and accessorised with a chunky silver necklace, while rocking a grungy makeup look. 

Meanwhile, Zoey, 30, who stars as Jean Seberg in the upcoming comedy-drama, looked effortlessly chic in a black strapless gown. 

Her elegant ensemble featured a purple sequin bow at the waist and a semi-sheer floaty silhouette. 

Zoey completed her red carpet look with diamond drop earrings and appeared in great spirits as she joined her pal for several sweet snaps. 

Shot in the spirit of its namesake, Richard Linklater's Nouvelle Vague is a tribute to the French New Wave and a charming retelling of one of cinema's most iconic debuts: Jean-Luc Godard's Breathless. 

Born out of a love for the era and the many creatives who shaped it, Nouvelle Vague transports viewers to a black-and-white vision of 1959 Paris - capturing the moment when a bold new filmmaker is about to make history, though no one around him knows it yet.

Kristen and Zoey's red carpet reunion comes after Kristen previously portrayed the late Jean Seberg in the 2019 political thriller Seberg. 

The biopic chronicled the life of the American actress, who died in Paris on August 30, 1979, and featured a star-studded cast including Margaret Qualley, Vince Vaughn, and Jack O'Connell. 

Kristen's appearance at the event comes after she showed off her toned legs in a white mini skirt as she stopped for snaps at The Chronology of Water photocall in France.

The Twilight legend turned heads upon her arrival on Friday, going braless underneath a chic buttoned-up tweed jacket.

Kirsten added a brown belt to accessorise the pleated skirt and gave herself a few extra inches in a pair of black heels.

The Chronology of Water is Kristen's directorial debut and was adapted by her from the 2011 memoir by Lidia Yuknavitch.

The feature piece, which is also produced by Kristen, tells the story of a woman who becomes a competitive swimmer after surviving an abusive childhood.

Kirsten presented the film at the Cannes Film Festival earlier in May, where the film was met with critical acclaim following its screening.

The actress co-wrote the screenplay with Andy Mingo, while British star Imogen Poots has been tapped to star as Yuknavitch, portraying the story of her tumultuous life.

'Lidia's memoir honours corporeal experience, radically' Kristen told Deadline.

'To make that experience physical feels vital to me and what this impulse means…is that it absolutely must be a film.'

She added: 'This project has been cooking for five years with the help of Scott Free, whom I could not be more privileged to have as partners and friends.'

Nouvelle Vague is set to hit select theatres on October 31, before landing on Netflix on November 14.
