When it comes to Married At First Sight drama, Tamara Joy is the sort of friend you want to have on your side.

After Melissa Lucarelli gave a measured response on Sunday to being dumped as a bridesmaid by Jules Robinson just weeks before her legally binding wedding to Cameron Merchant, the fallout has been swift.

On Sunday, Tamara uploaded a blistering video to Instagram in which she accused Jules of 'using Mel as a pawn' to promote her televised nuptials.

Tamara began by saying that she doesn't usually get involved in MAFS catfights, but she was speaking up because her friend, Mel, had been 'mistreated'. 

She said: 'I think Mel was very graceful in the way that she's approached the rumours and the way that she's addressing the fact she did get dumped and she's not in the wedding.

'But I don't think I would have been quite as graceful because I talk to her on a daily basis and I know how upset she is, not about the dumping of being a bridesmaid but about the friendship that Jules has severed.'

Tamara added that Mel had received texts from Jules explaining that her original offer for her to be a bridesmaid on MAFS didn't count because 'that was TV, not a real-life wedding'.

The 30-year-old influencer then mocked this attitude, noting that Jules and Cameron's legal wedding will also be televised on A Current Affair. 

'I just want to give Mel my full support here and I just think she was used as a pawn in Jules' game and I really just want to expose that because that's exactly how I see it,' she said.

Tamara even speculated that Jules had dumped Mel as a publicity stunt to 'create more media attention for [her] real wedding.' 

'I don't want to become a b***h because I do wish them [Jules and Cameron] all the happiness in the world,' she added.

'But, at the same time, Mel is a human being and she has feelings and Jules has just thrown those feelings aside because it's all about her and I think that's a really sh***y thing for a friend to do.'

Jules and Cameron's wedding will air Tuesday on A Current Affair from 7pm
