I run a small web development shop called Judea Software. We've been doing free builds for a while now — mostly churches, nonprofits, and student projects — but we've decided to open it up more broadly. If you have a project worth building and just don't have the budget yet, we'll build it for free.

What we actually build:

• Full websites and landing pages
• Web apps and custom software
• Hosted on our infrastructure (Oracle Cloud), SSL included
• Donation pages, event calendars, signup forms, member directories
• MVPs and first-version prototypes
• Tools, dashboards, simple databases — whatever the project needs
• Email setup, domain config, migrations from old broken sites

Same stack, same quality as paying clients — HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, Linux. Not a template drag-and-drop; actual code, yours to keep.

Who this is for:

Honestly, anyone. We prioritize nonprofits, churches, volunteer groups, students, and pre-funding startups — but those aren't hard rules. If you've got something worth building and can't pay a developer right now, just ask. The categories aren't a checklist.

What happens after:

The build is free. After that, nothing is required. If you want us to host it going forward, we offer affordable hosting. If you need maintenance or new features down the line, we can move to a normal paid arrangement — scoped to fit. But there's no pressure and no strings on the initial build.

The timing on any given project depends on what we have on our plate — we're transparent about that upfront. But if you've been sitting on an idea because you couldn't afford a developer, this is worth a shot.

Also worth updating the free page itself to mention apps and software more prominently in the hero — currently it leans website-heavy in the opening copy. Want me to tweak that too?
