Hey, some of you may know me as Strike from LCPDFR forums, after a break I bring you some of the revisited work I've been doing for the last years and which will eventually be released at some point, hopefully soon.
Unless stated otherwise, these are by now only textures, therefore I will credit the models I use the textures on to their respective authors to avoid any confusion.
So anyway, this project aims to bring GTA IV the 1980's dark and gritty New York City vibe that so many of us love so much in form of the texture modifications of vehicles, peds, billboards, and props, based always as much as it's possible in real life footage. Don't expect too regular updates as I no longer have the time or spirit to work on this as I used to.
Taxi cabs
They are based in the old NYC cab paintjobs, before the simple 'NYC Taxi and unit number' scheme was introduced at some point of 1988.
1987 Chevrolet Caprice, model by Carface and Compeast.
Roman's Cab. The texture is inspired by some private taxi company which, according to some footage I could gather, seemed to operate in NYC back in the date.
1987 Ford LTD Crown Victoria, model by Carface and Compeast.
(more to come soon)
1978 Ford Fairmont, model by DMN.
Sadly it comes with just one livery. Perhaps more can be added using Open IV.
Advertisements for the taxi cabs. They probably still need some work, add some grunge effect and stuff. In any case, the quality of the textures may look kind of low due to the default low resolution and the way R* f*cked up the taxi signs with the light when the engine of the vehicle engine is on, so keep in mind that these shots were taken with the engine off.
I have one doubt with them and is if I should add the same design in both sides of the sign, instead of one different advert in each side for the sake of realism. The downside would be that each model of taxicab would spawn only two different designs instead of four so that could perhaps make them kind of more monotonous when they spawn in traffic.
Buses
NYCTA 1988 GMC RTS, by Chasez (Manhattan & Bronx Surface Transit Authority)
Advertisement variations (click for bigger size).

There's more to come. Of course, I am open to suggestions, footage, etc.
