The Holy Donut location in Brunswick will close its doors later this month after two years in business.

The potato donut maker announced in a social media post Wednesday that its final day in Brunswick will be Aug. 23. The Holy Donut moved into the former Tim Horton’s on Pleasant Street in 2024.

“We’re incredibly grateful to our Brunswick team and to everyone who has stopped in, supported us, and shared a donut with us along the way,” the business wrote in a post. “Thank you, Brunswick, for being part of The Holy Donut story.”

The company was founded in 2011 by Leigh Kellis, who opened the first store on Portland’s Park Avenue the following year. It also has locations in Scarborough and on Commercial Street in Portland. In 2022, owners shuttered their Auburn location a year after opening.
